If you have good credit, you can apply for this credit card, and earn 20,000 miles after your first purchase.  The real benefit to this is that you don't have to pay an annual fee for the first year.  And, by doing this, your referring friend (or family member) will also get 5000 miles.  I already have a United Mileage Plus Visa, but my husband doesn't.  I am going to refer him and get the 5000 miles for myself, while helping him to get 20,000 miles.  Hopefully this will be a good start to get us to Hawaii next year!

You can buy tickets to plays, sporting events, and spas - usually for about 50% off.  Be sure to check it the next time you are making plans!

Be sure to check the Safeway ad in today's Bend Bulletin (it is a separate, pullout ad).  The coupon is good 2/1/09 through 2/3/09.  I have used this coupon several times and usually it works even if your total purchase comes in less than $50.00.
